PayPal and other 3rd party payment platform scams

As a safety precaution, Gumtree suggests not using any 3rd party payment platforms (e.g. Bidpay, Skrill, eWallet, Western Union, PayPal or Money Gram) to receive funds. It is normally used by scammers to send fictitious proof of payments to sellers.

Please see our seller tips and information on common scams.

For safe countrywide shipping, consider Pay & Ship for your next sale or purchase.
