The Highlight feature allows you to make your ad stand out in the category listings and search results.
Highlight does not move your ad to the top of the category page but it does highlight your ad on the browse and search pages to make it even more visible.
To show your ad at the top of a page, you can purchase a Bump Up or a Top Ad.
How can I highlight my ad?
You can highlight your ad by clicking the "Highlight" box when you post an ad on the site. If you have already posted an ad, you can highlight it by clicking the "Edit Ad" link found in the activation email and then clicking the "Highlight" box. You can also highlight your ad by clicking the "Promote" link found on the My Ads page in My Gumtree.
How much does it cost to buy a Highlight feature?
Posting ads on Gumtree is totally free but if you want to chose a paid feature for your ad we do charge a small fee. Fees vary by category and city and are shown on the Post Ad page. Note: The cost to buy a Highlight may change at any time.

Can I withdraw or delete a Highlighted ad and get a refund?
In accordance with the Gumtree Terms of Use, the fees for Highlight features are non-refundable unless the ad was deleted by Gumtree for violating site policies. If you don't want your ad to be highlighted anymore you can simply delete the ad.
If I edit my Ad, will it still be highlighted?
Your ad will be highlighted for seven days as long as it is active. Your ad won't appear highlighted if it expires or is deleted during those seven days.
