Onboarding & Activation of a New GAIT Account

The onboarding process is simple.


Your GAIT account will be set up following an initial agreement established in the form of an e-mail.

Please expect a delay of 24 hours for your account to be activated. 

It is important to note that Gumtree has two existing methods when it relates to billing:

Manual Billing

- Your GAIT account will be manually set up and activated by our Business Support Team.

- Invoices are processed and sent to you at the beginning of each month.

- You will have 30 days to proceed payment unless you've signed up for upfront billing, which requires payment at the beginning of the month.

- A welcome letter will subsequently be sent to you with your login details.

- Your account will be active unless cancellation is received in writing.

Self Service

- Self Service is a cash on delivery type of transaction

- You can purchase a package via the GAIT system without any invoice. We accept EFT payments.

- You will be required to print the transaction page and send this as proof of payment to our Sales team at stores@gumtree.co.za for your account to be activated.

- A welcome letter will subsequently be sent to you with your login details.

- Please note that your account will not be activated without sending us the proof of payment.
