Alerts allow you to save your searches on Gumtree and receive notifications when a new ad is placed that matches your search criteria.

How do I create an alert?

Desktop & Mobile Website:

• Create a Gumtree account by clicking here. You will be able to create an alert without registering, but managing your alerts are much easier once registered.

• Include your search criteria on Gumtree.

• Once you are happy with your search criteria, scroll down on the category page and look for the “Create Alert” button on the left-hand side or at the bottom of the page.
  

• Once you enter your email address, you should receive an email from us to confirm the alert creation.

Android & iOS App:

• Include your search criteria on Gumtree.

• Once you are happy with your search criteria, tap the slider bar next to the "Save this search" icon in the top right-hand corner.

How many times per day will I receive an alert?

You will receive alert notifications once per day in your email inbox. You will only receive an alert if we find listings that match your search criteria.

How do I manage my alerts?

Desktop & Mobile Website:

You can manage your alerts via your “Saved” page.
 

Android & iOS app:

You can manage your alerts under the “Saved” tab on the App main menu.

How long does an alert last?

Alerts stay active for two months. Alerts will expire after the duration.
