When you find yourself with numerous listings, the easiest and quickest way to scour through your ads is to add a descriptive comment via the Comment builder option.

Here is how:

There are two types of comments: Comment Intro & Comment Outro

Adding a Comment Intro

"Comment Intro section"

Comment Name 

This is where you name your comment so that you can find it quickly when you’re adding it to a listing. Choose something short and sharp that describes exactly what the comment is for, so that no matter how long the comment itself is, making it part of your ad will be easy. Some examples might be “New vehicle”, “Special features”, “Selling fast” or « Trading hours ».

Note that only you will see the comment name. It is meant for your own ease of reference.


Comment 

In this field, you’ll type exactly what you’d like to add to each item where you apply this comment.

For the shortcut “Selling fast”, you might say, “Act fast! This model’s been popular in the past and we expect it to sell fast this time, too.” 


‘Automatically Apply’ tick box 
 
Think about when you’d like your comment to appear. Is it specific to certain listings or would you like it to appear on all your ads? If you’d like it to be in every listing – for example, if it’s a kind of welcome note that you’d like every customer to see – then you can click on this box. When the box is checked, the comment above it will appear in every ad you post.
 

Once the box is checked, “Date Range” fields will appear. You can fill these in if your comment should only be applied to listings added before or after a certain date or during a certain period.

Vehicle Filters 
 

If you want your comment to appear on multiple ads – but not all of them – you can set your preferences here. If you’ve got a comment that’s relevant only to new vehicles, pre-owned vehicles or demo models, just make sure that the right box is checked and that the irrelevant ones aren’t.

If you’d like your comment to show up only on ads for vehicles in a specific price range, or vehicles with a specific mileage, then just fill in the minimum and maximum values in these fields and the restriction will apply automatically.
If these restrictions aren’t relevant to your comment, you can just leave these fields blank. 

 Execution Settings 
 

In this block, you can add some further details about when your comment should be added.

‘‘Override Locked Fields” will add your comment if you’ve previously locked the field while importing or adding the item.
“Lock Fields After Running” will lock the comment field after adding your comment into it. 
 

Adding a Comment Outro

As in the case of Comment Intro, this is the short name you’ll use to find a comment easily.

Note that only you will see the comment name. It is meant for your own ease of reference.

As in the case of Comment Intro, this is the field where you’ll add the exact text that you want to appear in your listing.


‘Automatically Apply’ tick box 

As is the case with Comment Intro, you can click on this box so that it’s checked to indicate that you’d like your outro to appear on every ad you post.

Vehicle Filters 

As in the Comment Intro, you can use this feature to specify which ads get your Comment Outro added to them.


Execution Settings 

In this block, you can add some further details about when your comment should be added.

“Override Locked Fields” will add your comment if you’ve previously locked the field while importing or adding the item.
“Lock Fields After Running” will lock the comment field after adding your comment into it.
