An exciting new feature that allows buyers to book a test drive for automotive vehicles is now available! 


 

Can I book a test drive on all vehicle ads? 

No, the book a test drive option will only be available on dealer vehicle listings that are registered on the Gumtree professional seller tool under the Cars & Bakkies and Motorcycles & Scooters section.
 

How does it work?  

1. View a vehicle listing you are interested in. 

2. Select the “Book Test Drive” option. If the “Book Test Drive” option is not available, it might be because the vehicle is advertised by a private owner. 

3. Select the time and date you want to have a test drive and include a contact number. If you can’t meet in person, select the WhatsApp video call with a dealer option. 

4. Once you’ve clicked “Send Message”, your test drive request will be sent to the dealer. 

As a dealer, how would I know when a buyer requested a test drive? 

Test drive notifications will be sent the same way as regular replies. The reply will include the requested test drive date and time, including the buyer’s contact details.  
 

As a dealer, how do I confirm the test drive date and time with the buyer?  

The buyer is required to include his contact details when requesting a test drive. To confirm the time and date of the test drive, dealers can reach out directly to the potential buyer on the email address or contact number provided.
